We all know that elopements are taking over the wedding world, especially in Colorado! I know I love a good non-traditional wedding, heck that’s how Justin and I did it- though we went to Cali (don’t judge me, it was gorgeous)! Being a Colorado-native and a wedding/elopement photographer, I wanted to put this list together to help all of you couples that want to elope in your favorite mountain range and get some rad photos of it. Without further rambling from me, here are my top (and most unique) tiny home Airbnb locations in Colorado!

The Star Huts at Crestopolis in Crestone, CO.

Located at the base of Crestone Peak , this tiny-home would be perfect for an intimate elopement! Here’s how I’d plan your day: start by having breakfast with your lover in the small cabin area, then move on to getting ready. This intimate space is perfect for a couple that wants to get ready together and share that special moment. Then we’ll head up Crestone Peak for your ceremony and some amazing views. After that we will head back to your cabin for a private dinner and some after-the-party photos!

Tynee Haus Outside Boulder, CO

This beautifully rustic cabin is located in a small town outside of Boulder, a woodsy oasis to have your elopement. Plan your day around a mountain elopement in Chataqua Park- you will need a permit to have your ceremony here but it is WORTH IT. Start your morning relaxing together in the hammock outside your cabin, enjoy some breakfast treats and- maybe- your favorite boozy-beverage before you get ready. Take your time getting-ready together in this one bedroom home and then we’ll make our way up the Flatiron range for your ceremony. An intimate dinner after the ceremony is the perfect way to wrap-up your wedding day, we’ll take some photos and then I’ll leave you be. A picture-perfect day.

Modern Tiny Home in Basalt, CO

The heart of Basalt is a beautiful place to be, a ceremony in the open land around this home is a Colorado-dream. Not only would this little home be the perfect spot for dreamy getting ready photos, the small courtyard would be the perfect spot for a small ceremony. I could totally see a big flower display for the altar and a winding-stone aisle to walk down! If you want a more open ceremony setting, there’s a nearby walking trail that leads to some stunning views! The best of both worlds!

Palisade Tent in Gateway, CO

The more non-traditional the better for this one! If you’re a boho, adventurous type of bride this one’s for you! I can totally see a huge installation of flowers around the entrance of this tent, making for a totally cool (and easy) ceremony location! Not to mention the stunning scenery that surrounds this private glamping spot. You’re sure to get the red desert and wide open vibes from this one.

Vintage Camper at Mystic Valley Sculpture Park in Alamosa, CO

Now I know there are some non-traditional, creative brides reading this so I couldn’t leave this Southern CO gem off this list. If you’re a bride that loves color, wants something totally unique for your wedding day and some bad-ass photos to go with it- BOOK THIS BABE. The plan for your day would be as follows: booze and hot dogs on the porch of your retro camper, getting ready together against the colorful interior, a ceremony at the base of one of the many quirky sculptures around you and to top off the night, a cozy fire in each other’s arms before we sneak inside for some intimate after-party shots. Best. Day. Ever.

The Glass Deckhouse in Salida, CO

A modern spin on the tiny home, this little beauty is a perfect spot for a minimalist elopement. There are so many options with this one but I’ll share my two favorites to keep this short. If you’re a true minimalist couple, looking for the simplest plan with the most ‘Colorado beauty’ then keep it easy and have your ceremony on the deck overlooking the mountain views that surround you. For a more traditional couple, you would love a small ceremony on the mountain side around this home. This gem is surrounded by a National Forest, it may take a bit of a hike to get there but I can guarantee you’ll find the mountain oasis you’re looking for here.
